On May 4th-5th 2024, the third edition of the Canadian & International Massage Therapy Championship took place in Laval Québec. “The Canadian & International Massage Therapy Championship celebrates the expertise, creativity and commitment of massage therapy professionals around the world, while actively contributing to the evolution and excellence of this profession.”

The 2024 Championship welcomed over 250 competitors and 15 judges from around the world, hundreds of spectators, vendors and sponsors at the Sheraton Convention Centre in Laval Québec.

The championship is divided into 5 categories; Swedish Massage, Sports Massage, Wellness Massage, Freestyle Massage and Facial Massage.

Judging criteria includes 6 key aspects of the treatment in addition to a 45 sec pre treatment presentation: 1- Innovation, 2-Techniques, 3-Ergonomics/Posture, 4-Fluidity, 5-Receiver layup and 6-Contact with the recipient.

I was honoured with the bronze medal for my performance in the Freestyle Massage category. Winning third place in the largest category of the competition, amongst extremely talented therapists, exceeded my wildest expectations. Not only did I will bronze, but I won friends, knowledge, and beautiful memories. I’ll be forever grateful for this opportunity. T’il next year!
